We are now going to explain to you how to prepare a good cold tea.
Ingredients
For 1 liter of cold tea:
- 5 spoonfuls of loose leaf tea (adjust to your preference)
- 1L of water
- Ice cubes
- A few mint leaves
- A piece of fresh lemon
Method of preparation
Iced tea can be prepared in two ways, strong or light, the choice is yours.
For a strong iced tea
Strong cold tea is ideal for those who like to savor the taste of tea. Add the loose tea of your choice (green, white, black tea, etc.) to your hot water. Indeed, the hot infusion allows the tea to release all its flavor. Be careful, however, that the water is not boiling when you prepare green or white teas, as this could burn the leaves and change the taste of your tea.
After a few minutes, filter and collect the solution that you will let cool to room temperature, then put it in the fridge for about an hour.
Take your fresh tea out of the fridge, add a few ice cubes, a mint leaf or a piece of lemon for example and voila, cheers!
For a light iced tea
If you want a light cold tea, it's simple: add your tea to water at room temperature. The longer you let the tea steep, the more it will release its aroma. In general, you can recover the solution after 2 to 6 hours, or even leave it in the fridge overnight. Then strain the mixture and cool your tea by adding ice cubes. For the final touch, add a mint leaf or a piece of lemon. Good tasting !
Some prefer to drink their iced tea sweetened. In this case, you can add a little sugar or honey, in moderation to keep all the flavor of the tea.
Iced tea is a very simple drink to prepare. Treat yourself this summer with your favorite cold teas and don't hesitate to recommend the recipe to those you love!
